What to Wear for HYROX

Discover what real women wear for HYROX training and competition.

HYROX mixes running with functional stations (sleds, rowing, sandbags, wall balls). Your kit has to hold up across every one of them.

The essentials

  • High-support sports bra

Running intervals and burpees demand real hold.

  • Squat-proof, sweat-wicking leggings or shorts

Stays opaque and dry through sled pushes and lunges.

  • A fitted, breathable top

Nothing rides up or flaps during the run stations.

Nice to have

  • Flat, stable training shoes

Only once you are mixing running with lifting regularly.

  • Grip or wrist supports

Helpful for sled and carry stations, not required to start.

Worth spending on

A supportive sports bra and squat-proof bottoms. Cheap kit fails first exactly where HYROX is hardest — during the high-impact, high-sweat stations.

Before you buy

Common Beginner Mistakes

01

Wearing cushioned running shoes — HYROX includes lifting movements that need a flat, stable sole

02

Choosing leggings that restrict overhead movement or feel tight during sled pushes

03

Buying race kit before completing a few training blocks — your preferences change quickly

04

Wearing cotton during high-sweat intervals — moisture-wicking fabric is essential
