CrossFit Starter Kit
CrossFit mixes weightlifting, gymnastics, and cardio — your clothes need to handle all of it. Here's what actually holds up in the box.
Why these items?
CrossFit involves jumping, lifting, rope climbs, and burpees — all in one class. You need shorts or leggings with no slipping waistband, a high-support bra that stays put during box jumps, and a breathable top that doesn't ride up during deadlifts.

Beginner Tips
Book a Fundamentals or Foundations course first — most boxes require it. It teaches you the core movements safely before you join group classes. Don't be intimidated by the weights you see on Instagram — classes are fully scaled for all levels. Show up, be consistent, and the community will carry you.
Where to Find Classes
Search for CrossFit boxes (that's what gyms are called) at crossfit.com/map. Most offer a free intro class. Expect to do a fundamentals course (usually 3-6 sessions) before joining regular classes.
